The Parks Alliance is very proud to announce our 2014 Volunteer of the Year: Craig Dawson of Sutro Stewards.
A San Francisco native, Craig Dawson is passionate about our local ecology and environmental issues. In 2006 he formed the Sutro Stewards, a non-profit environmental stewardship organization, where he currently serves as the Executive Director. The Sutro Stewards foster a positive balance between habitat conservation and the recreational needs of a dense urban population. The program remains the largest organized independent volunteer pool in San Francisco, equipped for habitat conservation and trail restoration stewardship.
